someone has suggested deleting net.rec.skydive. the only
justification given was that it is "stupid".
i think that anyone who wants to delete an active newsgroup
should give better reasons than that.
net.rec.skydive is recovering from inactivity to become
one of the highest-quality groups i know. articles average
being very useful and interesting. people have posted
*important* safety information to net.rec.skydive and will again.
net.rec.skydive has value to nonjumpers too. have you ever
wondered why people jump out of airplanes? have you ever wondered
what it would be like? here is a place to get your questions
answered.
for the sake of the jumpers i've seen saying "i didn't even know
this newsgroup existed!", let's keep net.rec.skydive around
(even if it doesn't have the volume of net.unix-wizards :-).
