[comp.society] Seaching for "Seniornet"

wmartin@STL-06SIMA.ARMY.MIL (Will Martin) (03/02/90)

A person here is searching for info on a thing called "SeniorNet", which
is some sort of computer network that began in San Francisco and which
is been being spread across the country. It is designed to link
senior-citizen groups and individuals, to support their common
interests, provide a discussion forum, support lobbying efforts, etc.
We have absolutely NO information as to the net's topology, methodology,
or contact points.

If anyone has any information about this, to include the physical makeup
of the network (are these BBSs connected by FIDO, a mini-USENET, or what?),
any names and/or USMail or network addresses and telephone numbers of people
involved with this who could be contacted for more information or linking
to the network, and, especially, any path for Internet communication into
and out of this SeniorNet, we would appreciate it.

Please send any info you can find to these net addresses:

wmartin@st-louis-emh2.army.mil OR wmartin@stl-06sima.army.mil
AND
lcrosby@st-louis-emh2.army.mil OR lcrosby@stl-08sima.army.mil
