OPS-2000 from Interleaf in Cambridge, Mass, is the most wonderful such
system I have seen outside of Xerox, and it is even FAST. It supports
several laser printers as well as some collection of real typesetters.
It has an integrated business graphics system which must be seen to be
appreciated. It supports the "typed text object" model which allows
wholesale typographic changes to be made easily. The only thing I don't
like about OPS-2000 is the mouse button paradigm. It uses all three
buttons, and compared to Lisa software, requires considerably more effort
to learn. However, I suspect that like most things, practice will
make it easy. And the effort will certianly be well-rewarded.

OPS runs on the Sun and Cadmus machines, and probably others by now.
I don't have their address handy, but they are in the Harvard Square
area of Cambridge, and I do know that directory assistance has their
phone number. They do sell to "knowledgeable end users" who already
own supported hardware.
