Can anyone give me the lowdown on how suncore allocates memory space within a SUN workstation. We have a model 150 with 1meg and the interactive graphics program I am writing seems to wait for "something" to come from the disk before updating visible segments. Are there suggestions on how such graphics programs should be writen? My current program creates about 32 plots (i.e. segments) each with 100 to 400 points. All tolled 50 segments may be active at any one time (this includes some menus). My goal is to speed up this implimentation. How can I do this? Please reply by email.
