From: Bud Spurgeon <SPURGEON@SU-CSLI.ARPA> I saw a machine being demo'd at the AAAI conference in Austin that runs Smalltalk. It's built by Tektronix, called the Model 4404 "AI machine", and comes with Smalltalk included for a base price of $15,000. Bit-mapped screen, optical mouse, 68000 processor with 1 meg memory and 20 meg Winchester, all for the base price. I believe they said it would have Franz Lisp running on it by early next year. Also has 10 meg Ethernet capability. All in all a nice little machine... -Bud -------
