From: Keith F. Lynch <KFL @ MIT-MC> We are thinking of getting a Molecular system as an office automation system. Does anyone know anything about it? Please reply to me, as I am not on info-micro or info-cpm. Thank you. ...Keith

From: Robert Elton Maas <REM @ MIT-MC> Perhaps we should look as the HP touch-screen not as a competor for the mouse in the same ecological niche but rather as a solution to a totally different problem? Sure the touch-screen isn't as good for large menus and text-editing etc. But it may be nicer for a carry-around game-playing program such as Chess or Go or any number of other board games where you want to point at a location on the board easily. Neither alphanumeric notation nor a mouse is appropriate for a game that is being carried around while playing it.

From: David Jaffe <DAJ@CCRMA> Fortran compiler for 68000 I'm looking for a Fortran compiler to run on a 68000 work station (Valid). I have a version which was written to run on a VAX and which generates code for a VAX using the second pass of the portable C compiler but it seems non- trivial to modify it and I'd rather avoid it if possible. Does anyone have information where I could get an inexpensive or free Fortran compiler (with sources) that will run on version 7 of Unix? P.S. This is for a non-profit organization (a university). From: Michael A. Bloom <MCB @ MIT-MC> I made an editing mistake in my recent works submission giving replies to my earlier query re UNIX personal computers. The first paragraph, beginning with "I can't resist", should be the first paragraph of the first reply, the one from tektronix!teklds!upvax!bobbyd. Sorry for the confusion. My only excuse is that I was way too tired and should not have been working on it at the time.
