                      Joint CR Branch and RIACS Seminar

SPEAKER: Doug Englebart
         McDonald Douglas-Tymshare

TOPIC: Toward the Augmented Knowledge Organization of the Future

ABSTRACT: There will be more turmoil and more opportunity presented to our
organizations by the emergent computer and communications technology than by
any previous change agent.  We badly need a good framework for future goals
and strategies for evolution.  Dr. Englebart will present a film to
illustrate some of his ideas.

Dr. Englebart is best known for his system to augment human intellect
including seminal work on the mouse, window systems, structure editors, and
so forth.

below.  Do not use the Navy Main Gate.

Non-citizens (except Permanent Residents) must have prior approval from the
Director's Office one week in advance.  Submit requests to the point of
contact indicated above.  Non-citizens must register at the Visitor
Reception Building.  Permanent Residents are required to show Alien
Registration Card at the time of registration.
