One statment and one question:
There is a bug in the Sun console software (firmware?) dealing with
inverse video. The black region on inverse video seems to lose one
pixel of height after newlines, and regain it after cursor motion, or
perhaps it really gains one extra pixel after cursor motion.
(Occasionally, line I/D will pick up some of those extra pixels and
leave the underneath another line, but I haven't been able to pin
down exactly when this happens.)
Now the question:
Has anyone seen a Sun console print text in all sorts of weird places
(outside the normal edges of the screen), then panic? The one that
happend to me occurred after a particularly frenzied bunch of insert &
delete line & character operations.
