From: Mark Weiser <mark@tove> My sun workstation really puts out the heat. I notice that the airflow out is nicely directed through a circular fan port at the top back. This port is just about exactly the right size and shape to put one of those clothes dryer exhaust hoses on. Has anyone tried this, to get the heat of this thing out of my office and into (say) the outdoors or the hallway? My concern would be that the hose would present extra friction to the airflow so the cooling would not work as well. On the other hand, having a lower ambient temperature in the office might offset any loss of cooling from the slightly reduced airflow. What think you? -mark ------------------ Spoken: Mark Weiser ARPA: mark@maryland Phone: +1-301-454-7817 CSNet: mark@umcp-cs UUCP: {seismo,allegra}!umcp-cs!mark USPS: Computer Science Dept., University of Maryland, College Park, MD 20742
