I am in an awkward position of having access to my system without being able to edit and without anyone around who can help with the network interface that is causing EMACS to barf me back to the PC over a very noisy phone line. We have at least six messages on the Chaos Computer Club attack on NASA, although most of the press reports are extremely sloppy and inaccurate. There is also a notice on William Londono who somehow managed to get a faked message into the LA County police computer in order to cause his release from jail. (This is DIFFERENT from the Santa Clara case a few years back.) Also an item on a software robot that fixes crashed systems. Please be patient until I can find a viable connection. Peter -------
