[net.works] Sun User's Group Technical Committee

athey@ungol.UUCP (Charles L. Athey III) (05/08/85)

The Sun User's Group has appointed me to be the Acting Chairman for their
Technical Committee. I would like all of those interested in participating
on this committee to send me email, US mail, or phone. Please indicated
how much you would like to be involved. It is currently planned to have
a technical newsletter which will either be posted to net.works or if there
is enough traffic to create a sub-group net.works.sun. Any and all comments
will be appreciated.

Though I know you already know, there is an entire ARPAnet discussion
list about Sun Workstations. It might be more appropriate to use it as
a base for the technical newsletter. Somebody would have to look into
gatewaying it to the USENET, but that shouldn't be too hard.

Of course, ARPA regulations would require that it not contain
commercial announcements, and SMI would probably be reluctant to
dictate policy for it -- which seems like a feature to me.

Requests to be added should be sent to SUN-SPOTS-REQUEST@RICE. The
