	G'Day,
Myself and a fellow colleague are wanting to purchase the NEC CDR-35
portable CD-ROM drive. It's great, because when you have finished on your
computer you can listen to music. It is just like a everyday portable CD player.
This machine comes with a number of optional extras.

IBM XT/AT, $260.00 $300.00.
Apple Mac SCSI $130.00 $158.00
PS/2 ??????? ???????
NEC MultiSpeed ??????? ???????
ProSpeed 286 ??????? ???????

As far as I know the power supply is included with the CD-ROM player. Some more specs are as follows:

Data cartridge, Documentation, Battery pack (optional).

Audio interface : Sterio headphones jack on front panel, flush-mount volume
		  control on front panel.

Audio Compatability : This unit will read Philips Standard (yellow Book)
		      recorded audio data.

Sampling Freq : 44.1KHz

Quantifying Bit Number : 16 bit linear.

Number of channels : 2.

I have spoken to various people (even head office) and had good reports.
This machine is programable i.e. vai computer software control or via pannel
mounted controls i.e. you can program any track etc. Speaking to one person
he said he runs it in his car without a hitch all you need is the attachable
power supply and a Dick Smit CD to Car sterio interface and it sounds great.

The above imformation is taken from the NEC data sheet, supplied from NEC head-
office. I take no responsability for the accuracy of the above imformation, nor does my employer. Please E-Mail me if you are interested, we need five to ten
people for the above consortium prices and twenty for an additional 3% off againtwo places are taken so we only need three more for stage one. Lets not stop at
that.
