[comp.protocols.misc] LAN traffic samples wanted

rim@csadfa.oz (Bob McKay) (01/13/88)

I'm working on some ideas for a comms protocol (talk about
reinventing the wheel!), and I'm looking for samples to test them out.
So does anyone have some real samples (i.e. not just stats) from a
LAN operating in a real world environment?
Ideally, I would like information on originator, addressee,
time of transmission and message length (plus any collisions etc,
depending on the type of LAN) for a significant volume of
traffic - as much as possible, but a minimum of say 10K messages.
If you can help, I will be eternally grateful. I'll quite happily
supply a mag tape and arrange to cover costs if that is required,

	Many Thanks,
	Bob McKay
