We have a Spectracom WWVB synchronized clock/receiver, and I am trying to use it for a time reference for our ethernetted systems. I think that I have to use the RS232C connector to come into our VAX8650 (Ultrix) through a terminal port. The clock gives the current time in ascii in response to an ascii command. My question, then, is: Does anyone have any software (or suggestions) for using such a beast to accurately set the system time? How about for then synchronizing other hosts to the master? What newsgroup(s) would be better for this? Thanks, Ray -- "It's worse than that, Ray Schnitzler it's physics, Jim" Bell Communication Research arpa: schnitz!bellcore.com uucp: ...!bellcore!schnitz
