[comp.protocols.misc] comp.protocols.nfs - CALL FOR VOTES

geoff@eagle_snax.UUCP ( R.H. coast near the top) (09/10/88)

Since my posting last week suggesting the formation of comp.protocols.nfs,
I've received unanimous support for the idea from dozens of sources, most
saying "...and if you issue a Call for Votes, please treat this as a
YES vote". [To answer the obvious question, I've excluded Sun
respondents from the audit, otherwise things might get skewed.] Anyway,
it seems appropriate to issue a formal call for votes at this point.
Those who have already sent proxies need not re-mail.

Again, please use the sun!garnold or garnold@sun.com addresses rather
than following my Baroque news path.

Thanks.

I do not think it should be called comp.protocols.nfs as this
is not what nfs is. Please count my no vote.

I favor and vote yes for comp.protocols.nfs
