I have an application that wants to deliver the same data reliably to a bunch of locations at once, where "bunch" is large enough that using N ftp's at once is impractical. Are there any standard references to broadcast-oriented protocols? I assume this has been done before; getting acks back without collision storms should be non-trivial, so I'd rather not re-invent. Hi, Im currently interested in multicast protocols, could you let me know if you get any info in response to your message. Thanks. I know you can do multi cast on Ethernet, but the only why i currently know how to do it is using low level ethernet calls. I dont know of any higher level that handles multicast. --Ed
