I was wondering if there is a "black box" which converts RS-485 signals to RS-232 signals for bidirectional traffic? If so, please let me know of any sources for it. Thanks in advance for your help. -- Alan C. Box 12800 Pittsburgh, PA 15241 412-746-5530 . B & B has less selection, but excellent service and reasonable prices. Black Box charges way too much, but has a wide variety of protocol conversion equipment for both hardware AND software protocols. I have used an RS-422 to RS-232 converter from B & B, and am pleased with it. Regards, Marvin Jones -- Marvin Jones {pyramid, pixar, tekbspa}!optilink!jones Optilink Corp.
