[comp.protocols.misc] Information on DECNET Phase IV

naftoli@aecom.yu.edu (Robert N. Berlinger) (06/13/90)

Where can I obtain information about the DECNET Phase IV protocols?
I do not have access to a VMS system or documentation. I'm interested
in information that would be useful to a network manager such as routing
concerns, node ID assignments if any, etc.

I know that Digital gives out a free manual to customers that talks about
DEC networking equipment. They also have 1 technical journal with a good
article on DECnet Phase IV that I've read. I can't tell you which
technical journal because mine's on loan. Finally, there are all the
specs...
