I am seeking information on the SLIP protocols , I am trying to ascertain
whether the 1/2 truths , rumours and lies I've heard are true. My main
questions are :
1. Can SLIP be used to bridge subnets ??
2. Can SLIP give a multiplexing of virtual lines on the same physical
line ???
3. Is SLIP based in software solely ???
4. Where do I get it ???
5. What kind of through puts are possible ???
6. Who controls the 'standard' ???
7. Where could I get it ???
If anyone can help me out here please e-mail me ( Maybe I could summarise if
there seems to be interest/demand ).
If anyone has a good SLIP answer which the're dying to use and I've not
asked the question please mail me the answer ( pref with associated question ) .
