[comp.protocols.misc] OSF/DCE naming

raj@hpindwa.HP.COM (Rick Jones) (09/14/90)

A miscelaneous question...

What is the ODF/DCS anming service based on? Is it an extension of DNS
or Hesiod, or is it something from DECNET?

Inquiring minds and all that...

OSF/DCE naming consists of an enhanced version of DEC's distributed name
