Several months ago some nice person at Sun offered to help me with my uuxqt problems on a Sun-100. Unfortunetly, I lost their address... Well, I need to fix it now. I have a BSD4.2 Vax uucping with the Sun-100 V1.3 software. The uucp copies work fine, the files all transfered, the connection is terminated and then uuxqt is fired up. No matter what I do, uuxqt refuses to execute any command. It returns mail to the vax with something like "uucp XQT DENIED (rmail )". With a similar message in the log. I run the uuxqt (as root, in /usr/lib/uucp) with -x9 and watch, everything look cool, it prints the "fout - .... fin -.... cmd -..." message and then "bad command". (note: if you "strings" uuxqt, the string is "bad command %s"... humm...) It looks to me like it tried to fork the command and it failed for some reason... (just a guess) I'm an accomplished uucp hack, but without source, I can go no further... (ps: I've never been able to get any command uuxqt'd with this system, not even rmail works) -- J Bradford Parker seismo!harvard!gcc-milo!brad
