I am trying to share an Appla LaserWriter between an Appletalk net and an Apollo Domain network. The first solution is to have both connected to the printer, one through its Appletalk connector and the other through its RS232 connector. Then, you can share it by manualy switching it from one net to the other : thus everybody is angry. Another solution could be to buy an Appletalk card for IBM PC-AT and to install it on the AT bus of an Apollo DN3000 : this workstation is then a node in the Appletalk net. But in order to use the usual printer spooler on Apollo, you have to write a driver for it. Did anybody try this last solution, or has anybody another solution ? Perhaps the best should be to buy a second printer.... P.Garda
