[comp.protocols.appletalk] Kinetics and tcp/ip

THJ@PSUVM.BITNET (William J. Sproule Jr.) (07/01/87)

We have a Kinetics Fastpath connecting our AppleTalk network to our tcp/ip
backbone. I would like to know if a program exists that will dynamically
assign /ip numbers as users connected to the backbone. For example, if a
user connects to the backbone with #.#.#.1 from Mac 1, then a second user a
Mac 2 will automatically be connected as #.#.#.2. Mac 3 will go on as #.#.#.3,
etc.... A range of addresses available to the local net would have set up.
Any information would on this would be appreciated. Thanx in advance.
