Does anyone out there have any experience with any of the direct
Macintosh<->Ethernet interfaces?
Kinetics ("EtherSC") and Dove ("FastNet SCSI") both seem to sell them.
Are there any others?
The sort of information I'm looking for is:
1) Do they work? How well?
2) Do they support Appletalk over ethernet?
3) If (2) what sort of encapsulation do they use - i.e. do they support
the CAP/KIP IP encapsulation?
4) If not (3) do they have any support for changing the encapsulation?
5) Do they support TCP/IP? At the same time as Appletalk?
While I'm asking: does anyone know anything about Ethernet boards
for the Mac II - other than the 3COM one that seems to have slipped.
The same sorts of questions apply.
Thanks for any information,
Dan Tappan
