Since we upgraded our Kinetics FastPath boxes to the version 3.0 ROM our Hayes Interbridges do not conflict with them. I would like to put the Interbridges back on our network so we can benefit from their remote network connection capability. The problem I have encountered is with the NCSA Telnet software. The Mac that I had connected to one side of the network was able to access fileservers and mail servers through the FastPath box, but the NCSA Telnet software could not find the gateway. I believe the reason that AppleShare and Intermail work is because they both have Zone drivers. Does such a thing exist for NCSA Telnet v2.0? If this is not the case does anyone know if the people that write NCSA Telnet ever plan to support things like Interbridges? Remember that AppleShare and Intermail know about zones on BOTH sides of all data transfers. If we had zone handling in NCSA Telnet, that wouldn't help until the Kinetics FastPath also supported zones in the gateway software. There are many of us who are waiting patiently for advances in gateway software from Kinetics. Some people have done their own gateways even . . .
