Cayman Systems recently announced a product that is a partial competitior for the Kinetics Fastpath. This Localtalk<->Ethernet gateway is scheduled for shipment in April. Cayman seems more interested in being a TCP/IP gateway than an Appletalk or DECnet gateway, which is fine by me. The box has a M68000 in it, I believe. I've now reported almost all I know. Can anyone who has more information about this product fill us in? Has anyone seen an Alpha test unit?

We've got a glossy only. They advertise their own telnet and FTP programs and Local to Ether AppleTalk bridging. Whoever gets one first, let me know how it compares with NCSA Telnet. Tim Krauskopf NCSA timk@ncsa.uiuc.edu
