What conversions to PostScript does it perform? What else is possible? Screen dumps of any kind? Plain old text files? Any help is appreciated. The printing software bundled with the LocalTalk PC Card is a set of conversion programs that know how to convert the following to PostScript: Plain-vanilla ASCII Diablo 630 Lotus 1-2-3 graphs Multimate files Wordstar files Then there is one more program that knows how to send a PostScript file to a LaserWriter. The whole thing is tied together under a single menu interface. Since the software is a stand-alone application and not memory-resident, it does not provide direct support for screen dumps. However, if you get a hold of one of the public domain programs that send printer output to a disk file, you can use the ASCII converter to convert and print that file. A better solution for screen dumps is to buy AppleShare PC. Besides its functions for accessing AppleShare file servers, AppleShare PC includes a transparent print facility, whereby all LPT output is redirected to a network LaserWriter or ImageWriter. The driver can emulate an Epson LQ2500, so taking a screen dump is as easy as pressing print screen. The driver also supports the IBMExtended font sold by Design Systems here in Cambridge. It provides all the IBM graphics characters that aren't standard on the LaserWriter. -------

Get a product called TOPS NetPrint: can emulate IBM Proprinter,Epson FX-80, and just send PostScript Works fine with ScreenDumps & LW+ fonts. It's not the prettiest menus, but the most effective (memoryresident) program. Contact TOPS, (415) 5495900 Peter Freund, Sweden
