After the initial hassle of figuring out the configuration files, I managed to use Telnet (v21.1) on the first box I started up. I'm using the gw.srec program included in the KIP distribution. Now I have hooked up the second FastPath. This one works fine. But ever since I rebooted the first one, to take into account the newly added second box, I get broadcast storms from the first box. I can load and start the first FathPath corerectly. I can see that it gets the routing information from one of our unix machines on the net. However, after 20 to 30 seconds the FastPath starts to broadcast message to port 770. Nothing is listening to that port, so no replies are generated. Three questions: 1) Why is it trying to connect to port 770? 2) Why is it generating a storm? (Many messages per second) 3) What can I do about it.
