Timbuktu seems to be an excellent program, from a energetic company somewhere in Kansas... We are beta testing their new multi-cast version on our meeting table with 9 Mac II's (one drives a back-lit projector screen.) The speed is bearable. Currently they are sending screen bits across, but claim to be ready to give us the version which sends QuickDraw object information across, giving (they claim) Mac SE performance. ... The reason that it's not trivial to share this information is because simple sending all QD calls out doesn't cover all cases. There are programs such as MacPaint which bypass QD and write directly to the bitmap. In this case they do a comparison occasionally to see what to send. ... All of us here thinks it's a great program. The only caveat we currently have is that the User Interface is a little difficult at first. ... I have no relation to WOS Data Systems.
