In the past few weeks we have been trying to get our Kinetics FastPath gateway working using Kinetics "KSPOOL" software. We now have it fully operational for the supported operations (spooling from the Macintosh network to the Unix machine and printing to the LaserWriter on the APPLETALK NETWORK). But there is still one operation which we would like to perform. This operation is to be able to print to a LaserWriter connected to a Unix workstation (Sun 3/50 running Adobe Transcript)from a Macintosh. Finally we decided to download LaserPrep to the LaserWriter and see what would happen. Well, The Macintosh is now able to print but whenever we try to print from a Unix machine (lpr), the text is printed but it is mirror imaged. Has any one ever encountered this before? Could any one yield any suggestions of where or how this is being done.
