I remember reading an article stating that the source code for NCSA Telnet was available on some hosts on the arpanet. I would like to get that source code to make some changes but since I don't have any access to the arpanet this is very difficult. Could someone advise me on a better way to get the source code (by tape or perhaps a posting to this newsgroup). Thanks in advance for helping me out. -- Johan Wibergh, Diab Data AB SNAIL: Box 2029, S-183 02 Taby, Sweden ANALOG: +46 8-7680660 UUCP: mcvax!enea!diab!jw

Source code for NCSA Telnet is available via anonymous ftp from ftp.ncsa.uiuc.edu (IP address 128.174.20.50). I believe the version currently available is 2.1. Version 2.2 should be available later this summer--includes support for color, font and font size selection, Macbinary FTPing, more convenience copying of tables from terminal output, and much more. (I'm one of the beta testers of 2.2 and I refuse to go back to any of the older version.) I believe I read that the binaries of 2.2 will be released first, with the source following about a month later. Kurt W. Hirchert hirchert@ncsa.uiuc.edu National Center for Supercomputing Applications
