[comp.protocols.appletalk] TOPS for sale

jaw2298@ritcv.UUCP (Jim Wieser) (09/10/88)

Hi there,
I have the following TOPS products for sale. All the products are still in
their shrink wrapping except for the demo products. Demos are opened, but have
all original pieces in good condition. The "demo" products are fully working,
but have a "demo, not for resale" sticker on them. The products are:

Number	Item List Price	Asking Price
	------	---- ---- -----	------ -----
	   2 TOPS Flashcard (PC) $239.95 $120.00
	   2	TOPS Flashcard Demos $100.00 $ 75.00
	   3	TOPS Mac Version $249.95 $125.00
	   1	TOPS Mac Demo $100.00 $ 75.00
	   2	TOPS PC Version $189.00 $ 90.00
	   2	TOPS PC Demo $100.00 $ 75.00
	   2	TOPS NetPrint (PC) $189.00 $ 50.00
	   3	TOPS Teleconnect (DB-9) $ 59.00 $ 30.00
	   2	TOPS Teleconnect (DIN-8) $ 59.00 $ 30.00

I run a small computer consulting firm, and I have decided to not carry TOPS
anymore. I really want to clear out my inventory, so I will even pay for
shipping if you buy three or more products.

I have data sheets, etc. if anyone needs them, and I will gladly field any
question about TOPS.

If you are interested, I may be reached at (716) 889-3528 or thru the net.

Because you're so trustworthy, I should send you cash, right? The fact that
you signed a contract agreeing not to sell the demo products doesn't bother
you at all, apparently ... One of the reasons the products down at your local
Egghead or Software Etc. cost so much is crap like this: companies give away
(or sell at marginal cost) equipment and software, only to have some bozo turn
around and sell it. The author/manufacturer loses a possible sale, the store
loses a possible sale, and some crook makes some fast bucks.

Hey, I need a hard disk --- got any that you "just happened to find"?
