[comp.protocols.appletalk] Many laserwriters

tjh+atalk.errors@ANDREW.CMU.EDU (09/23/88)

Well, actually two. Our problem is this: We have a Sun network on an
ethernet with a Appletalk net attached with a kbox. We are running CAP 5.0.
The current appletalk net has a lab of SE's on it, and a visible laser
writer hanging off one of the suns. Oh, the CS faculty is also on the AT
net. Another AT net is being formed for all the other faculty/staff Macs
in this building, and they will have a laserwriter on that net. The AT net
will probably be attached with a gatorbox (the wonders of standardization...)
for NFS support. The problem is that the CS faculty would like to be able
to print on the new laserwriter, but not let the students in the SE lab be
able to. Does any one have any ideas on how this could be accomplished?
Any replies would be very much appreciated.
