[comp.protocols.appletalk] KIP0688 not responding to EtherTalk Broadcasts

Has anyone used a Kinetics FastPath 3 with KIP0688 and TOPS for Sun, or
any other EtherTalk products. When my TOPS configured kernal boots and
asks "what net is this?" the KIP gateways don't answer. If I run Kinetics
etalkgw.rec everything works fine. Could it be my configuration?
