Folks, could anybody help me in understanding why I don't succeed in running a FasthPath box? I have a KFPS-2 connected to an Interlan NT100 transceiver. I am able to load it using FastPath Manager. When it starts I see, in the diagnostic packets window, the following messages: KFPS AT NODE #220, 27 buffers, Version 1.0, SUBNET IP routing ON, OPTIONS=0 and then continously BAD ETHER TRANSMIT STATUS: 8400 If I load the KIP 1/88 gateway code I get the same error. The Kinetics manual says: 8400 no carrier Probable error: transceiver cable not connected This is not the case. I've connected a PC to the same cable and it works fine. Any advise? ---------- ---------- A. Over the past couple of weeks we have been having serious problems with out Kinetics FastPath. The gateway is unreachable from Appletalk and from the Ethernet. When we run the FastPath Manager it tells us that the Gateway has been reset. This is a very serious problem for us and have not recieved any answers from Kinetics about it. Does any one have any sugestions or has anyone had similar problems? This is getting to be a very serious problem and every one is upset at over it. Please E-Mail relies. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Why did the Lord give us so much {) kaser@ee.rochester.edu quickness of movement unless it //\\ {ames,cmcl2,columbia,cornell, was to avoid responsibility with? ///\\\ garp,harvard,ll-xn,rutgers}! /\ rochester!ur-valhalla!kaser
