[comp.protocols.appletalk] Detailed specification of the KIP protocols

Is there some document which describes the KIP protocols in detail? I
have the source code for the 0688 version of the gateway code for a
KFPS, but it would be rather tedious to divine the protocols from the
source code.  What I would like is a document describing what the KIP
encapsulation looks like, how it handles sending configuration
information to a gateway which requests it, how it handles routing and
zone information and updates, etc. 

Oh yeah, please don't say "The source code is a document and it describes
what KIP looks like." :-)
