I've got a bunch of questions about the new Kinetics Fastpath-4. What makes it so much better than a KFPS-2 (i.e. is it worth it for me to upgrade?) As far as I can tell, the only difference between a true KFPS-4 and an upgraded -2 is the -4 has a lot more memory. How important is that? How can I tell if the performance of my faithful -2 would improve if only it had more ram? Unfortunately, kboxen don't come with vmstat. How compatable is K-STAR with KIP? Will my existing NCSA-Telnet and CAP applications continue to run unmodified? How does the "auto-configuration" work? Does that mean I can do away with my atalkatab file (always a pain to configure properly) and the atalkd daemon? -- Roy Smith, System Administrator Public Health Research Institute {allegra,philabs,cmcl2,rutgers}!phri!roy -or- phri!roy@uunet.uu.net "The connector is the network"
