Lotus 1-2-3 can indeed translate Visicalc files. Lotus' access menu includes a TRANSLATE item which provides choices for translating files to and from several formats to 1-2-3 (.wks) format. Use Kermit (running on both computers) to transfer the file from the Visicalc computer to the Lotus computer in binary mode.
