My impression is that, its marketing literature to the contrary, the Cayman Gatorbox is not yet capable of acting as an AppleTalk bridge (ie, router), but only as an NFS<->AFP translator and IP packet forwarder (for Mac/IP and NCSATelnet support). Am I wrong? - RL "Bob" Morgan Networking Systems Stanford

We use them here as routers, with Shiva NetBridge, Hayes InterBridge, FP-3, FP-4. To be honest, there have been bugs in our AppleTalk routing code which have been largely corrected in the last two releases (v1.25 is the latest). There are (always) some remaining bugs, but they don't, to my knowledge, affect the functionality of the appletalk router. I am under the impression that many (most?) of our customers use the AppleTalk routing features. (the worst problem is that our atalkad support is largely symbolic at this point, something I am working hard to correct). If you are having problems with the GatorBox's AppleTalk routing, I urge you to send mail (support@cayman.com, or me, brad@cayman.com) or call Throop Wilder at (617) 494-1999. -brad
