How about PC-NFS from Sun?

We use it in one of our PC classroom here at Stanford. Basically we
boot each machine with a floppy disk, mount a filesystem from a Sun-2
(yes they're still good for something) and we then run diskless (DOS,
etc. comes off the server).

As I recall, we pay about $150 a copy for PC-NFS. Each machine
requires its own copy. I don't know about source. Standard Unix file
protections are enforced. PC-NFS can mount directories from any Unix
machine that runs NFS.

Contact Sun at 1-800-USA-4SUN for more info.

I have no connection with Sun except as a user of their products.
