[comp.protocols.appletalk] CAP 5.0 on Sun 4 troubles

scp@SFI.SANTAFE.EDU ("Stephen C. Pope") (01/19/89)

I'm having troubles bringing up CAP 5.0 on a Sun 4 under SunOS4.0.
Configured for SunOS (4.3 BSD), everything compiled great, and nothing
coredumps, but atlook and atistest can't seem to get anything out of
atis. I've got a working FastPath 4; my big suspicion is that "KSTAR"
is not sufficiently KIP compatible to run the UDP link. I've included
my atalkatab and atalk.local files:

/etc/atalkatab:
# SFI KFPS configuration
12.0	N1	192.12.12.200	SantaFeInstituteEN	#sfi, appletalk-in-IP
12.1	KC	192.12.12.200	SantaFeInstituteLT	#sfi, localtalk
	I192.12.12.255	I192.12.12.1 #ipbroad ipname
	I192.12.12.1	I0 #ipdebug ipfile
	L0 L0 L0 L0	S0 S200 #ipother atnetet ddprangestart
	LX0 S20	S5 #flags ipstatic ipdynamic
	S12.1 S12.0 #atneta atnete

/etc/atalk.local (for host 192.12.12.1 running atalkad and atis):
#	sfi atalk config
# mynet mynode myzone
12.0 1 SantaFeInstituteEN
# bridgenet bridgenode bridgeIP
12.1 220 192.12.12.200

Additionally, the UDP side of the FastPath is set for
12.2 200 192.12.12.200

If anyone can help me out, please write directly (I'm not
sure I'm on this mailing list yet!)
