[comp.protocols.appletalk] NeXT box and CAP 5.0

kahn@wucs1.wustl.edu (Michael Kahn) (01/30/89)

CAP (Columbia AppleTalk Package) version 5.0 does not compile on the
NeXT box (even with the -traditional gcc flag). I'm uncertain that,
even if it compiled, the programs would work properly under MACH anyway.
Is anybody working on a NeXT port of the CAP family of programs?

After working on it for several days, I did manage to compile CAP 5.0 on my
NeXT machine. Unfortunately, we use thick ethernet here at Berkeley, so
my machine isn't yet on the network to really test my patches (the thin-
to-thick ethernet converter has been ordered, so it shouldn't be too much
longer).

Anyways, when I get it working, I'll post the patches (as well as other patches
I have for other problems).
