[comp.protocols.appletalk] Info on getting Inside Appletalk

paisley@MTE.NCSU.EDU (Mike) (01/28/89)

Hi,

A check at my local campus bookstore revealed (1) though that had about all
the other Apple books I'd heard of, they didn't have "Inside Appletalk" (or
LocalTalk, I'm not sure if the book underwent the same namechange, though I
would expect so), and (2) "Inside..." wasn't even listed in "Books in Print."

I soon discovered that Addison-Wesley picks up the publication of most of
Apple's books, but if A-W doesn't, then it doesn't show up in "Books...."
My problem is how to get a copy, or equivalent information if forthcoming in a
"Inside Macintosh" volume. Anyone with an ISBN number, or good method of
getting a copy? Thanks.

The latet copy we have inside Apple looks like a review copy of the A-W
book. It claims to have its first printing in March 1989, and has ISBN #
0-201-19257-8. (I don't know, however, if this is a dummy number or not.)

The book includes chapters on ADSP and AFP.
