Subject: CAP 5.0 Message-Id: <4620@saturn.ucsc.edu> Sender: info-appletalk-request@andrew.cmu.edu To: info-appletalk@andrew.cmu.edu Status: R Can anyone tell me where I can get a copy of CAP 5.0? I went to sumex.stanford.edu and got a file called at-cap5.tarz.1. I tried to uncompress it with Unix 4.2 and 4.3 but they all complained about corrupted input. Thanks for the responses and help. Ed. Reply to ...!ucbvax!ucscc!saturn!edward or edward@saturn.ucsc.edu Ed, Did you type the command `tenex' to your Unix client FTP program before transferring the `tarz' file from sumex.stanford.edu? I need help! I've been having problems getting CAP 5 running on our
Sun-4 (with SunOS 4.0). I have gotten various suggestions over the
months from various people, but I'm still no closer at getting CAP to
run. I have abandoned atalkad since it usually seems to crash anyway,
and have done all the configuration directly on the Mac as far as the
FastPath is concerned. In case I'm overlooking something, I will append
copies of atalk.local, atalkatab, and other things that might be useful.
There must be someone out there who can see what I'm doing wrong.

In /etc/rc.boot, I found the following line:
ifconfig ie0 $hostname -trailers up
In rc.local, I found the following line:
ifconfig ie0 netmask +
The file /etc/netmasks is as follows:
128.32.0.0 255.255.255.0
The current settings of ie0 is reported to be as follows:
ie0: flags=63<UP,BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,RUNNING>
inet 131.162.1.51 netmask ffff0000 broadcast 131.162.0.0
When I run atis, then try atistest, it retrys several times, then
eventually fails and asks is atis running, as follows:
