[comp.protocols.appletalk] Gatorbox, NFS, and SunOS 4.0 & SunOS 4.1

corwin@daedalus.UUCP (-David C. Kovar) (02/24/89)

I used the GatorBox's NFS support under SunOS 4.0 on a Sun 386i with
no problem. I told the GatorBox to use the YP entries in domain
YP.gsd.harvard.edu. Perhaps you forgot the "YP" prefix? What problem
did you have with the YP verification scheme? Did you remember to
include the GatorBox in /etc/netgroup? The latter might fix your Access
violation error. Those are the ideas that come to mind immediately.

Also, I reported a problem with CAP, GatorBoxes, SunOS 4.0.1 and the
386i about two weeks ago. After beating my head against the wall a few
times I finally called Cayman for help. Being just down the road from
them helps a lot. The SWAT team arrived and fixed the problem in about
ten minutes. Hard to beat service like that.
