we'd like to run the new eXodus X server on the mac II. as i understand it, we can use TCP/IP with ethernet cards running in the Mac II, or we can use the Appletalk Data Stream Protocol with our Kinetics box. The second option requires ADSP to be running on the host (a Sun 3 in this case). does anyone know how this might work, and where the ADSP software can be obtained? please send replies via e-mail. thanks. ----------------------------- Alan Epstein Meta Software Corp UUCP: ...bbn!metasoft!alan 150 Cambridgepark Dr Internet/ARPA: alan%metasoft@bbn.com Cambridge, MA 02140 USA -----------------------------

Actually, you can run TCP/IP directly out an ethernet card or through a Kinetics box. So, if your hesitation about using the TCP/IP approach is based on your lack of an ethernet card, hesitate no more! Greg Minshall 1-415-947-0988 Kinetics/Excelan ...!ucbvax!unisoft!kinetics!minshall
