James, If you really mean 100% compatible, I'm afraid you'll find some keys missing on your ][+ keyboard. The open and closed apple keys, and the up and down arrow keys, at least. I believe that the open and closed Apple keys are really equivilant to the game buttons (two of the four) and the shift keys are also wired as game buttons to be compatible with hardware patches people used to make to the ][+ before the ][e came out (I think). That plus ROM changes that may have been introduced make me skeptical that you're going to acheive 100%. But I think your attitude of using older equipment rather than junking it is admirable, sometimes I wish I hadn't sold my old Plus.
