We have an AppleTalk network, using PhoneNet as the physical connector. We are connected to our Ethernet through a FastPath running KSTAR. We have a Netware server hanging off the Ethernet, on which we have installed Netware for the Macintosh. Some parts of it work nicely and other parts seem to give problems. The nice part is it is easy to mount the Novel disk as an AppleShare volume through the chooser and to access files on the volume. The problem part is that just having the volume mounted has interferred with Telnet, InBox, and printing to a Laserwriter on the AppleTalk side. When the Netware volume is mounted, Telnet cannot find the host I am trying to connect to. Dismount the Netware volume, and Telnet works just fine. When the Netware volume is mounted, InBox says it cannot find it's message center. Dismount the Netware volume, and InBox works just fine. The InBox message center is on the same AppleTalk network as I am. When the Netware volume is mounted, printing (from Word) results in "Can't open the printer". Dismount the Netware volume, and printing works just fine. Any ideas on what is going on?
