We are running aufs on a 4.3 system quite happily. For all applications on the Mac (except QuarkXpress), we can double-click on the file stored in the aufs volume and launch the application. If we try that qith a QuarkXpress file, we get and error (premautre eof or something like that.) The file can be dragged down to the local disk and then it works fine.
