Subject: Spurious interupts 3/260

Jonathan,
I have had the same problems with our SUN 3/260. We swapped out everything
at least once. ie: CPU, Ethernet chip, cable, transceiver, fanout box.
The SUN techs checked everything and all was fine? But we still had
"ie0: spurious interrupts". The solution was the installation of software
patch 3.5.1. It comes on a 1/4" tape and you can selectivly install different
patches. I choose to install all. The interrupts dissapeared no trace.
The problem as it was explained to was that the 3/260 ethernet can't handle
heavy network loads without this patch.
good luck,
